No wonder they aren't plowing your road anymore.  The property value keeps falling.

That's the case with all properties in recent years.

Property Tax dropped by nearly $900.00 in one year.. :cheer:

So you think that if you pay less in taxes you shouldn't get the same services everybody else gets?

Naw, just jesting.  My taxes went down a smidgen last year too.  In fact this past winter the plows widened my road.  Yep.  Left just about a third of the gravel off it on my lawn.

You know as we'll as I do that all politics are local. Did this resident do something to piss someone off? Maybe there's going to have to be a assessment.

I've figured that it would cost less than $3000 to put in a 45' gravel cul-de-sac so the township snowplow and the public could turn around during the winter..

It would require a small portion of land to be dedicated by 3 landowners..

The assessment would be minimal..

No offense meant here but a"small" amount of land dedicated by 3 other land owners? What if they don't want to give up their land? Eminent domain? Hardly seems enforceable the three owners give up land for the benefit of one land owner.

How far is the nearest cross road? When or if kids were being dropped off where did the bus turn around?

Then bring on the front end loader..

Kids walk 1300 feet to catch the bus at Bluegrass Road.. Funny that the Supervisor of Bancroft Township lives on Bluegrass Road..

1300 feet is a quarter mile, in nice weather fine and dandy but if it's inclement weather it can be dangerous.for kids wLking.

So it's 1300 ft to the crossroad, I see no problem with the grader driver backing up that far. As far as "bring on the front end loader" I would think that that should be an expense born by the land owner in question.

Kids have walked this road to catch the bus for decades..

Thompson Sanitation backs all the way up the road to collect garbage at the dead end home because there is now no turnaround during the winter as there has been for over 70 years..

I don't give you much credit SB but yes the township snowplow could back all the way up the road to plow the entire road instead of backing all the way down the road after it has been plowed (except for 25 to 35 feet of road and a large pile of snow at the dead end residence).. Thank you..

The County pays the Township to do their job.. Bancroft Township is not doing their job at the dead end of 224th St..

Have you contacted your county commissioner?
