Any thoughts??????

These type of speeches are pretty uneventful, but I think I'll check it out anyway.  I'll watch it live unless I'm in the garage fighting with the car again.

I'm sure they'll have someone from the Republicans offer a rebuttal after Obama is done.  So we'll hear the agenda and talking points of both sides.

What Constitutional authority does he have to do this?

When Jefferson wanted to buy the Lousiana territory (the Lousiana Purchase) they argued the same thing.  "Where in the Constitution does he have this authority."  If they had their way we'd be standing on French soil.

I use to view this topic the same as you, G.D.  But even the most conservative people tend to throw out the Constitution when they want a new defense program or a new law enforcement tool to crack down on [insert crime epidemic here].

Our tax dollars shouldn't be used for any type of subsidizing, PERIOD!

Have you told your kids to wheel you off a cliff when you need elder care?   :D

Most nursing home and hospice care in this country is subsidized by the taxpayer.  I doubt the conservatives of the forum will have enough in savings or insurance to cover the tab.

He'll toss blame!!
Tap himself on the shoulder...
Push poverty...
Explain away & disregard low poll numbers...
Place the focus on anything & anyone else!

The left media will be drooling...
Its like now the media is attacking anyone who dislikes or disagrees with Hillary...now they're pushing this war on women agenda! Like when anyone disliked Obamas polices were called racist!!!

See a pattern!!!

Seeing how he snuggled with that blond, Denmark's prime
minister at Mandela's funeral taking selfies....one would think he could greet a fellow elected official without displaying such obvious arrogance! But he really isn't a person of etiquette anyway!

That is probably the most out of touch unrealistic article ever written. No idiot could possibly think these numbers or the advice given would work in the real world. It should titled "How to Maybe,Barely Exist on Minimum Wage".

Good grief, they even recommend for one to go ON government assistance!

Maybe they should have added, robbing a liquor store, making meth, selling a kidney, or prostituting yourself. These things all make about as much sense.

Bottom line: Current minimum wage= Corporate welfare. Pure and simple.
