Can a local government refuse to remove snow from a road?

Bancroft Township in Freeborn County cleared a 1300 foot road all the way except for the last 25 feet of road at the Dead End residence and leaving a 3 foot pile of snow and making the road impassable before backing all the way down the road..

Question of the year:

Should a taxpayer have to clear 25 feet of township road with a snow blower to make it passable?

(Road ends at the stake..)

Think I’d call the guy who runs the grader/plow talk to him nicely explain the situation.

Go right to the source and ask the horse.
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.
He's always on a steady course.
Talk to Mister Ed.

People yak-it-ti-yak a streak
and waste your time of day,
but Mister Ed will never speak,
unless he has something to say...

Plow operator, Denny Jensen, wants to use the driveway and the yard like a shopping center parking lot or he and the township will refuse to remove the snow at the dead end..

The turnaround used for over 70 years by the township and the public, located to the left just after the mailbox can no longer be used because the current landowner, Daniel Claussen, has begun to refuse the township from pushing snow onto his property at the turnaround..

Picture now shows that it has went from 25 feet without snow removal on the township road to 35 feet without snow removal, making it impassable..

Naw, most of the Jensens I know around there are conservatives.  They probably read this.

At a January 14 Town Hall Meeting in regards to snow removal, Denny Jensen was asked where he turned his tractor plow around at the Dead End..

He said with a straight and serious face, "In your front yard"

I can say he doesn't turn around in the front yard anymore.. :D  Knock on wood..

(The well is located in the front yard)
