As a union member for 45 yrs. All It did was protect the lazy, the worthless workers. In 45 yrs. I saw it all. I never had to go to the union once to help protect my job. And I retired 3RD on the seniority list. Its justs  a waste of money for union dues, for the rich fat cats that run the unions!!!! like TRUMKA

45 years and you were still only 3rd on the list.  So this tells me that a lot of folks stayed with the company for along time. If your company was non union I'm guessing 10-12 years or less would have made you number one on the list.  The lazy and worthless usually weed themselves out as in any job.  I'm sure you enjoyed your wages and benefits for those 45 years. If not why did you stay? If it was so awful and a waste of money why did you invest 45 years of your life to it?  And if your trying to claim that you never used your seniority to your advantage in 45 years your full of it.

Complain all you want about an elected president, yet it will get you no where unless you have the MONEY to be heard.

It doesn't matter which political party you support...without the big bucks no one cares about you, your children or future grandchildren, ect...

All any politician WANTS is YOUR VOTE if you don't have any MONEY to INFLUENCE the decisions they make.

If MONEY wasn't an issue...and politicians had to HONESTLY EARN their wages based upon hard work instead of being paid ahead of time for their PROMISES.. then we might have a chance as a country to move forward.

Why doesn't anyone in this county ever get tired of the "blame game" and paying millions of dollars to keep the political war of republican vs democrat going?

Seems to me we should be spending our money on REALITY..instead of gambling it away on political party promises...

Yep Bin Laden's dead, took a lot of guts to say"go ahead and kill him Mr. seal"

Not a single republican politician or pundit had the guts to make that call.  Bush wouldn't, McCain wouldn't, Romney wouldn't, and I've watched the video of Glenn Beck and O'Reilly defending all of them saying it would be crazy to go into Pakistan to get him.

It wasn't until the mission was successful that the conservative politicians and pundits changed their tune.  The media starts saying that it was an easy call to make, or complaining that the President didn't pull the trigger himself.   :dunce:

Then came mr.OBIMBO the anoited one and after 2 1/2 yrs my 401k dropped in half . Acording to OBIMBO  its still BUSHES fault!!!!!

So, you think it's Barack Obama's fault that you lost a bunch of money on Wall Street?  Is that what your financial adviser told you?

It seems the talk of "personal responsibility" and financial independence only happens when it ends up going well.  You had a big loss to your 401k and Self-banished wants to know if we're better or worse off than 4 years ago.  Where's the "personal responsibility" and independence, if things go bad you blame the President.   ???

Although, the above quote is why most realized that privatization of Social Security is a bad idea.  Conservatives talk about how the return isn't a good enough percentage.  But when the same people talk about money they've invested themselves, the rate of return changes into a discussion about how much money they lost.

So why did you stay for 45 years? It's a simple question. Actually you did not answer any questions. I'm guessing your union saved your job everyday for the last 15 of those 45 years by preventing you from being replaced by someone younger and cheaper.
