It's not just a saying but a fact, "all politics is local" and it seems over the decades we've slipped into a spiraling, downward plunge. Our elected officials seem to be becoming worse and worse. Instead of electing statesmen we're electing trash, substandard citizens who if put in the private sector would be barely qualified to be greeters at Wally World.

This is not a democrat or republican thing, this is both sides. The sad thing is that it has become "sides" as childish as kids playing "fort" at recess. Our salvation begins at the local level, from "dog catcher" on up.


I really did burn out on politics and I do owe you an apology.. You have the right to babble on and on about whatever you want..  :laugh: :thumbsup:

I've done heating & air & ventilation for many years and have my Universal refrigeration certification.. I also did plumbing for many years in the trenches installing water main and sewer systems at Kroger stores in Georgia.. I was a plumber-steamfitter at Farmstead Foods in Albert Lea for a few years back in the 90's...

I can only imagine how limited our elected officials are mechanically..  Being a professional troubleshooter is something most people are not.. Our leaders have to go with what the so called experts have to say, leaving them vulnerable to being misled at any turn.. I call it leading the leaders..  :amen:

I think back to politicians in our recent era and the only one that I can think of that was actually close to being a statesman was Wellstone, I didn't agree with him on anything but I beleive he was honest in his heart. Very unlike the POS's we have at present, they're just egomaniacs.

I really think the 24 hour news cycle on cable created a bunch of show boater's by all party's.. All the radicals got even more radical, Republicans are proof..
