^The legislation is Florida's so should the tax be, but- if Florida is successful stopping school shootings and the proposal goes National so should the tax.. — The Firearms and Ammunition Excise Tax (FAET) is a federal tax on the manufacture, importation, production, and sale of firearms and ammunition it could be increased to cover costs of a National implantation of Florida's plan...it's not cheap but what price do you put on our children....

^The changes aren't meant to restrict firearms or ammunition,(read the pdf in post 60) right now it's just Florida, with a Republican Government in Florida this is their legislation but Trump will push a similar plan Nation wide. Republican's will pass it without a means to pay for it, that's why I proposed a tax on firearms and ammunition to pay for it rather putting it on the credit-card...
They can tax anything and everything, Article I of the Sixteenth Amendment to the Constitution gives the Government leeway in Taxation...

^^ so they can tax a right?
So if I want to express my 1st amendment rights they’ll send me a bill?
No, our President is more likely stalling and apeasing the radicals, most likely till it blows over.

The first things you Libatards rag about is the guns, the ar-15 did not kill those 17 kids it was the a$$ behind it! Thats what I was talking about. You hardly hear a word of it is older people. Every time it happens the first words out of a Libatards mouth is it is for the children?

^Nobody is looking to ban the AR-15, it's one of the last American industries, it provides employment in manufacturing of the weapon and ammunition, sales, rifle ranges. If you want to waste your money on a Matty Mattel have at it..
The Florida shooting was a failure of current laws, failed parenting, failed school administration, failure of local mental heath-workers, failure on the part of local law enforcement, and a failure of the Federal system of background checks.
If this kid was on some kind of anti-psychotic or antidepressant because he couldn't deal with life logic would say maybe he shouldn't have a firearm.
Even the most fervent NRA member posting here has to question with this kids troubles with the law, school and psychological issues should there have been prohibition term on his firearm ownership!
