Why not have the unemployed work on things like fixing our roads and bridges?

You know what Lib. I'm shocked at how deteriorated AL city roads have become. It's outrageous really and to think we can loan millions of dollars to developers for new neighborhoods, but can't do the simple maintenance. Many of AL's city streets have fallen way behind in upkeep.

This city really couldn't be managed any worse.

Of the 6,500 Carpenters Union members, half have been unemployed long-term, some as long as two years.

Why would an unemployed union worker want a job? :dunce:

Isn't it better that they are unemployed?  I mean Pelosi said there is 2 dollars returned for every dollar spent in unemployment benefits :dunce:

Maybe it's time for a new profession.
