How is it that things have gotten in such a state of disrepair?

If it wasn't for the Bush tax cuts for the rich, lack of regulations on derivatives and a FALSE WAR in Iraq started in the early 2000's , we could of had a STATE OF THE ART TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM, STATE OF THE ART EDUCATION SYSTEM and LOW UNEMPLOYMENT..

ALC,  here is a website you can use to report all of the "Republitards" on this forum. Attackwatch.com   :p

Proof that the Obama administration is losing it.  They are paranoid and know that they are in trouble come 2012.

If only O'bummer would spend this much time and energy on the economy.

We are close to a double dip recession with further losses of jobs and a stock market crash.. If the republicans don't get on board and support the presidents jobs bill, they'll take the full blame for not acting.. I'm sure they'll have no other choice than to join Obama..

Republicans are getting really good at wrecking the economy and I'm sure people will start to catch on to their strategy to replace Obama by continuing to defy the plan of the man to CREATE JOBS..

Don't give me your crap that government doesn't create jobs. Just ask Rick Perry how many government jobs he's created in the last three years as the governor of Texas..

Net job gains in Texas have come entirely from government hiring, which accounts for 115,000 new jobs over the past three years. The private sector in Texas shed about 40,000 jobs during that time.

Just imagine what Obama can get done as a Democrat in his second term not having to be in constant campaign mode.. Winning back about 26 House Seats would be even more awesome.. Those Teabaggers got to go!!

Yeah he'll give even more money to the future job makers like Solyndra  :dunce:

A failed idea started under Bush, accelerated by Obama.
And to top it off, the man who cries for more regulations, completely ignores all put in place telling him not to rush that through as there are warning signs of this companies long term future.
Let's face it, he's probable a decent man, but as the leader of this country he is an epic failure.  And coming after Bush that takes some doing.

Opinion from the group.  Does anyone think (either side or the guys in the middle like me) that adding another year of unemployment benefits is a good thing?

Unemployment is probably a cheaper option than outright welfare which would involve reeducation
costs as well as survival costs or the other alternative prison cost. unemployment money is fed directly back into the economy, it's a good thing...
It's still my opinion we can now see the light at the end of a long dark tunnel, I'll predict 2015 as the year of the great turn around the boomers will be retiring in mass replacements won't be able fill the millions of job openings fast enough, wages will rise as companies compete for an ever shrinking labor pool...

I post about Obama not focusing on the job at hand and you blither about Rick Perry and some news report about jobs.  No wonder the donks can't get anything done.  They wasted too much time with Obamacare (that nobody wanted) and back door meetings instead of dealing with the economy.  And you want to place sole blame on the other party.  Pfft.
