I wonder if he means leadership qualities like honesty and integrity? I would bank on our currrent mayor having twice the integrity that the SOB owner does.
I wonder if he will take care of his business problems before filing to run for mayor. It would probably be best since he pi$$ed off half the town when he handed Sparks the golden parachute. I really don't doubt that someone will call the IRS tipline and the media if he does file to run for mayor. Because the last thing this town needs is an indictable mayor.

Before Jeff Owned the Aragon,He was the General Manager of the former Wallaces Dept Store in Downtown Albert Lea.
Now when I was the Manager of a store in downtown,I also paid my employes in cash also,I deducted for Fed.and State tax and Social Security.Thats the way a lot of business's operate.
For Many years All Retail Business operated that way.
at the end of the month you reported this to the Fed. and State,and paid this in.
I don't know how many of you Dumminies can't figure that out.
I had special Payroll Envelopes for this with itemized for each amount taken out.and then a final total for which the employee was paid.

Who are you calling Dumminies?
I doubt anyone except the IRS cares about the payroll tax thing. What was really low was not paying workmens comp and then telling the comp company that he wasn't an employee after he was beat up and got his face and shoulder busted protecting Fjelsted's bar. Also the fact that he forced the bouncer to get a lawyer to prove he was an employee.
Do you realize how little integrity a person that would do something like that has?
Don't try to feed us Dumminies some BS about a payroll envelope either because if that were the case you would still send your employee a W2 at the end of the year and the bouncer never received a W2 and or even a 1099 in the 5 years he worked there.
