Things are only going to get worse if we just keep letting things go. We're too complacent, it's freaking annoying. It's been happening incrementally for years. It's like the "boiling frog" analogy.
I'm not saying there's some big boogey-man setting things up behind the scenes, but things definitely ARE getting worse, and they are NOT going to stop getting worse. Now the IRS has been caught harassing constitution-style groups, and the DOJ seized the Associated Press' phone records. - They must think that since us sheep didn't bleat too much over the government snooping on our phone calls/emails, it must be ok to start snooping on the major news networks.- Not that they inform us of most things we need to know anyway.
Things aren't going to magically get better. I hate to think what it will be like for our kids and grandkids. Just sayin.

I imagine most folks think they will get better, like all this is just part of some pendulum-swing socio-economic theory. I seriously doubt anything gets better for the average American until we stop making the art of Doing the Wrong Thing in Washington so damn profitable. Or maybe JFK and Paul Wellstone stand out in their minds just enough to remind them what happens to those who rock the proverbial boat. If that's the case, and corporations retain the status of "people," well then God help us all...
