^No. Go out and start a business. Become self-employed or an independent contractor. Create your own destiny.
More minorities coming to this country become business owners than the people who were born and raised here. Many of them start from nothing.
You only allow "the man" to rule you if you let them. Take them out of the equation.

^ I was about to say the same. And why must a general labor choice be a path of low wage? It could be one reason for low wages for common labor is a by-product of the "get educated" obsession.
No matter the career one chooses dog-eat-dog is waiting. The flesh eating"walkers" rule the day.

You only allow "the man" to rule you if you let them. Take them out of the equation. Really, 300,000,000 businesses. That wood be dog eat dog now wouldn't it. Yep. You forgot independent contracting too. I know that's not realistic and I totally get that it's easier for most to get a general labor job and spend the rest of their life bitching about low wages and how they're treated by evil corporations then it is to start their own business. Taking responsibility for change is a lot of work for some. So much work in fact that they keep doing what they hate and point fingers at others for their lot in life.

I know a guy who came here in his 30's with $100 in his pocket and homeless (not to mention he was a minority). He didn't know anyone when he arrived.
He didn't spend his days bitching about "the man". He eventually got a job washing dishes at a restaurant. Now he owns 10 Fed Ex trucks and is starting an insurance agency.

That wouldn't be sb, now would it? I am not arguing that it is possible. It is not possible for everyone. Facts are facts, the wage of the labor force have been in stagnation for 40 years while the profits of the top have skyrocketed. You can spin, it bake it, fry it, deep freeze it, and ship it to Mars. It is still a FACT!!! You just look around at some of the "stuff" the top spend their "hard earned money" on. It is like, how can I piss away some dough today? I know someone who was in management for a pretty large company. He went to a training seminar once where they said to keep labor hungry. It keeps them coming to work.

I met an interesting person yesterday, a Somali, (yes, I know but this one's different) he owns 6 trucks, speaks English quite well and came to this country 15 years ago with nothing more than himself. He truly is an example of what can be achieved with hard work. He wants to add 4 more trucks this year and what I found hilarious is that he doesn't want to hire any Somalis, only white men (he said it, not me)
Not possible for everyone? Bullsh!t! But suppose not everyone gets to go home and boink the prom queen.
Yes, the rich have been getting richer, a rising stock market does that. So Buster's had over 6 years to improve the working man's plight and all he done is to make the rich richer
All Buster's been able to do is flap his gums and have agencies put out "fluffy" numbers.
