Taking a job at a certain place is also a choice, who gets to decide which choices are acceptable? If you don't want to work in a union shop, don't apply! You guys seem to pick and choose what choices are ok. Should I go get a job at a restaurant and tell them not to serve liver and onions because I don't really care for the smell? ???

Pick and choose?  Does the business owner get to pick and choose to allow a union in his business?

Now who's picking and choosing.  Leave it up to the business owner to decide if a his business should be unionized and I will side with your argument gman.

I have to admit, I thought like SB does for many a year. Even in my most recent job, everyone complains that they don't make enough. Their base wage has not increased since they were hired. I am the only one there making significantly more than they are. Why? Two reasons: I take on much more responsibility, and I asked for raises here and there. When I explain this to my co-workers, they look at me as though I started speaking in some alien tongue.

I am my own union.

Probably because their dues would have gone to support the boys in Detroit.
