Instead contacting the perverts and sex offenders in the community, people in the community should be contacting people that have the power to pass laws regarding these kind of people.

It would seem like it wouldn't be all that difficult to make contact with the guy - if he said he didn't want to comment for the article - then they should report it that way...
but they simply stated that they were unable to contact him for comment - that was my point...
stake out his house for a couple of hours or try a little harder - these are important topics - more important than the run of the mill articles that the Tribune churns out on a daily basis...
I want to know what is going on in the heads of these people who are messing with the youth like this...
it's really unbelievable...

OK, point taken, they didn't even get to the point where he said "no comment." I don't know how the attempt was made, I doubt they have the resources time-wise to let someone sit outside the house until he shows up. My guess/assumption is that they tried calling, and either he wasn't home, or he was home and didn't answer. To someone in that situation, I imagine Caller ID is a necessity to avoid harassment, which is ironic, but brings up the point that harassing these folks is illegal. Point being, if they called and it said "Albert Lea Tribune", and I had just been in court, you can bet they wouldn't be trying to sell a subscription.
Maybe they went and knocked on his door. Again, maybe he just didn't answer. Who knows. At least they made an attempt. That's my point.
I agree it would be interesting to see what's happening in their head. Occasionally they have done stories on reformed drug addicts or spouse-beaters where the person's identity is withheld, if that person was local. But given the nature of the offense, I doubt we're going to see many sex offenders openly talk.

what difference does it make who you suspect...
turn it over to who ever you turn over your stuff to...
I suspect that you did it up yourself - or one of your ex's sent it to you for not paying child support for so many years...
if Homeland Security was interested in me posting a picture of you in a racoon costume taking your dog from behind I can't imagine what they will do with that letter...
