I was just thinking of that the other day. Sparks was talking about something out by the foot clinic on Plaza that has not materialized. He also said something awhile ago about shifting a JOBZ property to the Habben development because they had someone all lined up to go in. Haven't seen anything materilze on taht either. When are we going to finally be rid of his bs and lies? The council should have just fired him and let him sue the City.

Guest, when you go shopping for something large, lets say a car, do you always tell the sales man the truth? Paul and Pam get lied to a lot. I'm a sales man and I get lied to on a daily basis. I don't take it personal because I expect it. To be affective, the sales man has to get beyond the story offered to find and deal with the pain that brings the potential customers to you. I don't know anything about what Paul and Pam are doing, but it sound like they are working very hard on what is being presented to them, which are often defensive lies, and not going after what pains the people they are dealing with. There are natural sales people, they are few. Most learn from their mistakes and over time develop. Putting the preasure on doesn't help with the learning process. I quess the question is do we have the time to take the preasure off?

I don't think they should settle for proposals that are brought to them, they should be out there, away from AL trying to bring business proposals in. It's not like Warehouser (sp?) is just going to decide to propose that they open a shop up in AL just because. Instead Warehouser would expand in Austin because it is already there. Someone needs to concentrate on bringing businesses that are worse off where they are than they could be in AL.
