Enjoy it while it lasts. I have little doubt this is just an indicator of the next big market crash...  :frusty:

Time’s Global Warmist Said Science Proved $2 Gas was Impossible, Michele Bachmann Proved Him Wrong

Global Warmists use “science” the way that their ancestors used magic. Case in point, Bryan Walsh, Time’s current Foreign Editor, who was writing about the environment and the election in 2011.

Walsh claimed that the only way to lower gas prices would be to go into a (deeper?) recession and that increasing supply wouldn’t work. Instead he insisted that the only way to do it would be with more Priuses.

Like all Warmunists, Walsh was wrong. Shale and the Saudi energy dumping resulting from it (despite his predictions that OPEC would reduce production, it increased production) gas is coming down.

And Bachmann took to Twitter to celebrate.

Lefty sites are predictably mocking her while claiming that Obama deserves the credit, but Obama fought new energy all the way. The difference wasn’t made by energy efficient cars, but by increasing supply.

The progressives were wrong and they knew they were wrong.

The right wing liar has a few mistakes in what Walsh actually said.

QUOTE

Look, there are good economic arguments for increasing oil exploration at the U.S. that have nothing to do with gas prices. Every barrel of oil we can produce at home rather than importing reduces our trade deficit and supports valuable domestic jobs. (You may hate them, but the oil and gas industry provides some of the best-paying jobs in the country for those without a college degree.) But the oil market is a global one, and it will be rising demand from developing countries like China and India that will really change prices. The U.S. President, as the Atlantic‘s Alexis Madrigal writes, can’t control that. The only way we can try to reduce the price of gas effectively — or at least, shield Americans from the economic burden of high prices — is through more fuel-efficient cars, which would reduce demand. But Bachmann has opposed raising fuel-efficiency standards — and for that matter, energy-efficient lightbulbs. There’s nothing in her record or her statements to indicate that she would support the kind of policies that help break America’s dependency on expensive energy.

You just seem to have a problem with everyone being less intelligent than you?

I post a little satire from an article that could have just as easily been from the Onion and all of a sudden everyone's a right wing liar.

I guess if my post was to stir some ire from the lefties that are still desperately clinging to Bambino as being a savior...

It worked!  :D
