Our roads already exist,
Mega mal to Mps-not quite a billion
St.Paul to Mpls- 1 billion
The proposed routes of Eden Praire to Mpls and Cottage Grove to St.Paul are looking to be about 3billion tota, more when it extends to Rochester.
I'm not sure what the North Star cost but it's probably a good bet that the BN gets a good size chunk for use of their trackage.
One could probably put this all together to fix every road in
Minn.
I haven't heard anything of running tracks to po'dunk land.

I didn't say roads don't exist, try again. Remember top to bottom, left to right... a group of words together is called a sentence. Take Tylenol for any headaches... Midol for any cramps.

Yes, I know what you mean but you did say the road fairy (from what I've heard Alky's the road fairy) I guess what gets me is that very few will benefit from these billions being spent on light rail. The maintenance, the land acquisition, the construction, etc services only those living in a small sector when our roads and bridges need repairs or replacing.
Up here the bus service still runs lines along side the exsisting rail lines, why? The trains are nothing more than image, keeping up with the Jones, being stylish.
