The only ones that should be issuing payback, is the voters.

The voters are stupid.  Look who we've elected for the last 30 years?

Well what is worse, an open letter to iran or a dem. senator that went to the Soviets, asking them to intervene in the 1984 elections in a secret letter to the ussr.

Y'all act like the president is some sort of man god.

When republicans do this with a Democrat in the White House it's "treason", But when Democrats do it when a Republican is in the White House it's "checks and balances" and good statesmanship.  God! I hate double standards!!

When in history have Democrats in Congress sent an open letter to a foreign nation trying to undermine negotiations of a Republican President?

I'm honestly asking, have Dems ever done such a thing?  Because there's only a double standard if it's actually happened.

So where's the letter?  The article from Newsbusters found that a reporter in '91 mentioned a KGB officials memo in '83 that was addressed to another guy where the subject was a U.S. Senator.  A lot of speculation about what this possible letter or meeting might have been, but I haven't found any proof to corroborate all the gossip.

I have an open letter from GOP Senators undermining negotations, in return you've shown me a conspiracy theory of what might have happened with no proof.

There were no negotiations to undermine.

World leaders meeting or talking isn't unusual, the mistake the Senators made is that you don't undermine your own countries negotiations, and essentially tell another country that they can't trust the United States even if they reach a deal.

Didn't Kerry and Harkin meet with Sandanista leader Ortega back in the 80's, behind Reagan's back?

Yeah, conspiracy theory, sure. :sarcasm: what it comes down to is that Buster cannot be questioned, right? But if it's a republican sitting in office(a party I'm not too fond of) it's the duty of the democrat to inflict their will. Please :dunce:
