Ax, think about this. How many of your peers who actually respect themselves treat others like this. If you really get down deep into the details, most of the bullies are the people who have no parental guidance or self respect. They try to make others feel bad thinking it improves their self image.
My oldest daughter got picked on quite a bit because she won’t bow to clique crap. She’s even been hit a couple times. I taught her how to defend herself and to NEVER be the instigator of a fight. Since I taught her to defend herself, she’s only been picked on once. That’s all it took for her to show them she could dish out the physical violence just like them. Now that they know she’s as good or better a fighter, they leave her alone. I’m not condoning violence. I’m just saying that some people need to be put in their place. It’s much better for everyone if that placement happens via language than fist. Ask that person how they would feel if they were called those names. Do it where there are no witnesses so he doesn’t feel like he has to start slamming you to save his reputation.
Liberal: Way to control your temper. I’ve had to learn to control my temper since becoming a father 10 years ago. There was a time when I wouldn’t have hesitated to take on those boys by myself. Now, we have families to pay for. Kind of hard to put food on the table when you’re behind bars. I think your wife also did the right thing although I think I’d have called the cops first in case they tried to do anything to her. Anyway, over and done with, thank goodness.
I’ve heard teens call my wife a scanky b###ch while they were smoking on school grounds. That’s obviously the last thing I want to hear, so I chase after them long enough to scare them.
It basically comes down to your attitude. Carry yourself like you mean business and people will usually leave you alone.

actually i have....i always get shot down or something similar.....i have asked them to not use the slang around me thinking if they called someone/something gay or homosexual they would realize just how Stupid it really sounded.....but no..  ..it doesn't work...some of them even turn and look directly at ME when they say the slang no becasue they know that it bugs me......i have also asked teachers about it and they say that they can do nothing .......and as for the Rainbow Alliance, there is not enough support. (

Well what are they supposed to do? Enact the Chris AX law. You know, the law that makes it a crime for any human to say things that offends you?

GOOD! You need to be taught that lesson and how. In my world, I'd incarcerate you the first time you broke your own rules or do what you accuse others of. That way. you'd learn that it's not just everybody else that is capable of doing things that bug other people. Your post bugs me. It's like, I want to whine till we get a law that makes people behave like I think they should.

Chris, I'm really sorry to hear that. Teachers should be standing up for not tolerating that sort of language/behavior. It creates a hostile environment for students who are LGBT, and them doing nothing is a tacit way of saying that attitude/behavior is okay.  I mean, come on - even if you don't support the LGBT community, everyone has a right to a) basic human dignity and b) an educational environment that is safe, both in the psychological and physical sense.
And Rainbow Alliances, sad to say, are not easy things to start in small towns. *sigh* But Chris, just hang in there and keep standing up for your opinion - don't get railroaded by others.

Sadly, idiot bullies sometimes dont ever grow up. My guess is some of the slags we have right here in this forum were bullies when they were young. As you can see, some havent changed a bit, read their posts, and if you didnt know any better, you would think you are reading something that comes from a 12 yearolds mouth

Chris as for you, you need to be smarter than them cause obviously they are complete idiots and if you get into it with them then others might be confused as to who the real idiots are. Usually ignoring people is the best!! Cause if they don't get any response from you then that is gonna bother them cause that is what they are going for.
It actually quite funny when the "cool kids" get ignored, they pout like babies.
I wasn't popular in high school I was the smartass punk who embarassed the "cool kids" in front of everyone. I was friends with everybody but the "cool kids" who really wants to it just high school and that is the only time they will ever be popular!!
All the popular girls in my class married their high school boyfriends who I know many of them cheated on their girlfriends with my best friend!! It's quite funny cause once the popular kids got out into the real world of life they weren't so popular anymore. HA HA HA.
What I really like is seeing some of them and they are nothing like they were in high school!! They are fat and seem to be very unhappy. I was a late bloomer probably cause I was so invovled in gymnastics. I really didn't bloom until after having my first child. Funny how all those "cool guys" flock to you then!! Sad! Bunch of BS I hate clicks!! Never been a part of them never will!
Hang in their Chris those people will never amount to anything and you will flourish I guarentee it

You're still young, the next stage is we don't even talk who was cool because we are ALL old and breaking down... Kind of the age where Jim and Geo are at now.
