Aren't we all here to better educate ourselves? Or at least to get something off our chests. It just comes across so much better when there isn't alot of typos and improper usage of the english language. Geez, I just went back and proof read this and made 2 corrections on myself. :p

Rosebudinal--you are correct.  While the point of the Forum is communication--not grammar--the point that the writer is trying to communicate is better made if the grammar and spelling is correct.

I consider myself fairly good at spelling, but I keep a dictionary on the shelf right above the computer.  Some of the guys at the airport ask "Why bother?".  My answer comes in three parts:

"Because the reader EXPECTS and DESERVES it".  "Because an argument carries more weight if made correctly".  "Because I don't want to give my "debating adversaries" EVEN ONE LITTLE ITEM THEY CAN RIB ME FOR (for which they can rib me?). :D  (ESPECIALLY "STRIDENT" ADVERSARIES LIKE LIBERAL AND CPU_SLAVE--never give them an inch!) :D

Yeah.  The written word is hard.  I screw it up all the time.  (ie. America.  Probably in a hurry or fuming at the stupids.) But, damn I get your and you're right more than not.

All I hoped to do by pointing out the poor grammar was to show several people in here that they could do better.  It seems trivial, I know.  However, consistant errors make you seem dumb.  I don't think it's very effective to spell out an argument when you consistantly mar faulty thinking with faulty language, spelling and grammar.   Also, you can all take notice that I do not point out simple typing errors or a misspelled word here and there.  I'm just the only one willing to take the back lash and stand up for something I consider to be a foundation of good comunication.  So fire away. I can take it.
