Propaganda?  No, the info I post is to try to make people think about facts that are often missed when this topic is discussed.  Yes, I am informed but as with any topic you should be informed before you try and debate it.  I am simply trying to challenge misconceptions people may have about this war and the events that led to us being there, challenge them to think and try to make sure something like this does not happen again.

As far as Israel, they have violated far more UN resolutions than Iraq, not simply one as you make it sound.  They have also tried to annex land, have killed scores of Palestinians, and use questionable weapons as well.  I just want to know what made Iraq actions so bad and Israelis so good?  Just guessing I would have to say that Israel is on our "side" while Iraq was not.

You speak of Saddams rise of power and all the evil surrounding this, yet you fail to mention that Iraq was supported by the US through this time.  I do think that it is important to know this, as to why we did not act then but are now, as well as where Iraq's weapons and knowledge originated.

But can you explain one leader that had a more ruthless life then Saddam, besides the obvious (Hitler, Stalin, or Lenin)?

I am not going to 'explain' them, but I can give you a list of leaders who caused death on a scale equal or greater than Saddam, all in the 20th century:
Chiang Kai-shek, Enver Pasha, Hirohito, Hirota Koki, Ho Chi Minh, Kim Il Sung, Leopold II, Nicholas II, Pol Pot, Tojo Hideki, Wilhelm II, Yahya Khan, Idi Amin, Ion Antonescu, Ataturk, Francisco Franco, Gheoghe Gheorghiu-Dej, Yakubu Gowon, Radovan Karadzic, Babrac Kemal, Le Duan, Haile Mengistu, Benito Mussolini, Ante Pavelic, Antonio de Salazar, Hadji Suharto, Tito, and Mao Zedong, just to name a few.  Yes, I agree that Saddam will be included in the "who's-who" list of mass murderers, but in no way will he even crack the top 15 list.

I'll agree with part of this.  I'm aware that durring the late 70's, early 80's we supplied Iraq with information to be used by them against Iran.  So, to my understanding, we were helping him because were against Iran, not because we were for Iraq.  As to your statement about weapons, & knowledge.  Saddam's weaponry has always been Soviat made.  The knowledge (besides what I mentioned above), he recruited scientists from around the world for his nuclear program.

I'm not going to say that the U.S. taking Saddam and the Bath' regime out of power was completely about the "axis of evil" that Bush refered to.  Personally I think making it sound as if the only reason we're their is because its the "right thing to do" is misleading.  We are accomplishing "good", by getting him out, but I think you'll agree, we wouldn't be their if it wasn't self-serveing.  To me, we're "hitting two birds with one stone".
