QUOTE (alcitizens @ Oct. 29 2013,9:29 am)
QUOTE There are drug addicts with children that get EBT cards.. Those drug addicts sell their EBT cards for drugs while their kids go hungry, sad but true..
Most are hard working mothers trying to make a better life for their kids.. Minimum wage doesn't pay for squat.. If these drug addicts choose to sell their EBT cards I guess there's nothing we can do about it. As far as Mommy being a hard worker? Good for her, but maybe she should have been a little more descriet in choosing someone to mate with or even practiced a little birth control. Her problems should not become mine. Drug addicts being good mothers??? Hardly. Sorry that my post didn't draw you a detailed picture.. Most women with kids are not drug addicts or sell their EBT cards for drugs.. Most are good women that don't do drugs and don't have the means to provide fully for her children or a father that will help provide..
I'm sorry that you were never loved or provided for as a child..

But I was loved and PROVIDED FOR as a child, my parents were responsible and hard working. They had 3 children and made sure they could care for them.
Just because one is able to reproduce doesn't mean they should. Just because two people reproduce doesn't mean I (through my taxes) have to provide for them.
Just because I succeed in life should not mean I have to give to someone else because they have not succeeded or have been irresponsible.

^sometimes tough love has to be used instead of cuddling them
Used to be that the church charities took care of the despondent, but they've been demonized by the gov.
Maybe if there were consequences for poor or irresponsible behavior we wouldn't have these problems.

QUOTE Beginning in November them bad republicans are going to slash SNAP benefits. Back in September, House republicans pushed through a bill that cut billions of dollars from the food assistance program. (I'm using a N.Y. Times articles for effect. ) QUOTE House Republicans narrowly pushed through a bill on Thursday that slashes billions of dollars from the food stamp program, over the objections of Democrats and a veto threat from President Obama.
Republican leaders, under pressure from Tea Party-backed conservatives, said the bill was needed because the food stamp program, which costs nearly $80 billion a year, had grown out of control. They said the program had expanded even as jobless rates had declined with the easing recession.
“This bill eliminates loopholes, ensures work requirements, and puts us on a fiscally responsible path”said Representative Marlin Stutzman, Republican of Indiana. It will equate to a $36/month cut and force able bodied adults to find a job or to enroll in a work-training program in order to receive benefits. That's what I said last week.
Oh and before I forget. I am like ssssssssoooooo pizzed off at you.

QUOTE Oh, boo hoo.
Labels are not racist if the terminology fits and is factual. Are you denying that welfare queens exist? Have we gotten to the point where a fact can be racist? Political correctness is for the weak minded as well as the often over used charge of racism..
So, if I call someone a racial slur under your logic it isn't necessarily racist. Many of them came from factual or historical basis. It would not be racist as long as I can make it factual.
I'm not saying S.B. or you are racist, but I'll point out the obvious on a political strategy, which is why I brought up Lee Atwater. Because something is based in fact doesn't ignore the undertones that get people riled up. Someone posts about welfare pigs and the picture is a black man at a car show, can't find that post anymore. You can spin it into a Willie Horton type ad and call it factual, because it is, but I'll call it what it is. Race is the reason this stuff goes viral on Facebook and forums.
I won't ignore the motivating idea that's behind a Willie Horton ad, a birther claim, or a woman with bad grammar that goes viral. It's based in fact, but it's the racial part that makes it go viral.
