Maybe for the Albert Lea franchise, they should consider renaming the store "Pearls Before Swine."

I could not wait for Erbert and Gerberts to open!! My daughter has raved about how good they are. She lives in Rochester and eats there often. I went in one evening and ordered the one with the chicken salad. The filling was okay. The bread was so incredibly dry that I ended up throwing the top away and eating only the bottom. That along with the inability to add toppings made it a very disappointing meal. I will not go back. However, I do have to wonder how dry the day old bread is...if what I had was suppose to be fresh.

I too, was less than impressed. I wish them the best. I'll not be back. I had the seafood with the bacon. It was disappointing. I was there at a busy time of day, you could have sanded boards with the bread. l

I like their simple subs. I enjoy the veggie options and their soup. It's a nice quick healthier option for lunch. I don't feel icky after lunch like other fast food places.

I've eaten E&B before but tried the AL store tonight. Same stuff different town. I like it when I'm in a hurry. I am getting board with Subway. I do prefer Quiznos over the other sandwhich shops.
Not surprised by the negative comments. The town couldn't keep a starbucks, but McD's, Taco Bell, and other crappy fast food joints thrive.

Tried it last weekend. I liked it, but, then one of the managers recognized me. Thinking I recieved the VIP treatment. But, hey, I am good with that. Soup and Sandwich.
