i would bet that there is a wife or a girlfriend behind this

That could very well be.

Sometimes being hopelessly in debt or struggling with addiction can do it to.

Either way, it's sad when someone feels that this is the only solution. I had a cousin who ended his life in his early 20s. His girlfriend (and mother of his children) was going to leave him because of his frequent drug and alcohol use. Around that time, I had a boss who used to refer to suicide as a permanent solution to a temporary problem. The issue I had with that was that he still referred to it as a solution.

Who cares! Obviously the people who know and love this person aren't on here discussing what prompted him to commit this odd act. But, this act was committed in public and therefore he did open himself up to public opinion. It doesn't matter who he is and sense none of us will be involved in his healing process, (physical, mental or emotional) the subject in mute...

 I do feel sorry for the guy that jumped, I hope he gets the help he needs, but why in the heck didn't Linda Tuttle think of jumping     she should have! then the ones she stole from could at least get some life insurance out of her!

Life insurance doesn't pay off in the case of suicide.

Life insurance will pay out for a suicide if it occurred after the initial 2 year contestable period.  Also, it normally will not pay out to the beneficiaries of a convicted felon while in prison.  If a felon applies for a policy, the underwriters take into consideration the time that has elapsed from when they completed their probation/parole to the time of application and also the nature of the crime.
This varies by company.

In a nut shell...what I have learned about people is that if they chronically threaten to commit suicide, yet never follow through...that's either a mental illness or an attention seeking game.

Typically people who intend to commit suicide don't tell anyone else, including their closest loves ones.

Either way, when any person threatens suicide, or if you suspect and notice all the signs that a loved may be planning their suicide, call the authorities immediately because even if it's just a threat to get what they believe they can get or get out of doing it...they can accidental kill themselves or someone else in the process.

Suicidal people are dangerous...not just to themselves but to others also. so, if you are ever made aware that someone is considering such a violent act against themselves...unless you're a professional don't waste time in contacting someone to help them as soon as possible and usually that is by reporting it to law enforcement to begin with.

I find it amusing how people constantly speculate on something that they know little if anything about. Enough said.

Are you specifically disagreeing with what I posted about how important I believe it is to get professionals involved if a family member, close friend, co-worker, ect...has reason to believe a person is suicidal?

Not at all. I agree. I just think that for so many it is easy to speculate. ( 'must be somene important, since there was no name released', insurance  information and a few  other crude remarks made). This person is from here and has family that come on to this site.

Suicidal people are dangerous...

In most cases they're only dangerous to themselves..

Clinical Depression is one of the worst medical condition's that could happen to anyone.. They don't try to take their own life because they are selfish, they try to take their own life because they think their loved ones have given up on them and think their family would be better off without them.. They think they're doing their loved ones a favor.. They need medical treatment.. They need help..

If you love'em, don't give up on'em..

The best thing anyone who loves someone who is clinically depressed and suicidal can do is tattle tale on them ASAP so they can get the medical help they need.

Being clinically depressed is NOT a VALID excuse for any type of act that is life threatening, in any way, shape or form.
