do we not have a city planner? is it necessary to employ a outside firm to do a simple bike count on a city street! with the state of the citys fiances it seems to be a disservice to the community to arbitrarily do a project with out any information regrading the usage of said project. again i ask you is this to appease the blue zone proponents? imho front street was a extremely poor choice for a bike lane in the first place!

Go down to the welfare office and hire a fat arse (one who can count) to sit by the curb on their lawn chair with a pencil and a tablet for a few days.

I would like to see some bike lanes on Lakeview Blvd. There's alot more people walking on the sidewalks there. The area from Grace ST to the new bridge needs to keep the bikes off the sidewalks.

Also from the Dam bridge to the Hospital.

There is nothing that I'm aware of that says they can't do so.

Actually, it is legal except in the downtown area. However, you do have to yield right of way to pedestrians.

I thought it was illegal for years, until a Tribune article a year or so ago when Engstrom looked into it because people told him it was illegal.
