Te Kopple had a piece on the new "Air America" radio show.  It is amazing how the Ultra-Conservatives are circling the wagons.  One gentlemen guest stated that by having this "Liberal" tilt broadcast on the radio it will be just a one-sided perspective without input from the right. I had to agree with Al Franken, when he responded that what exactly does he think that the inundation of all those Ultra-Conservative programs have done.  I do not think I have ever heard Rush say anything on his program in regards to being positive about Liberal anything.  No he states his views biased strongly in Ultra- onservative right.  Personally, I tend to be a middle of the roader and can't stand the thought of being politically type cast.  It has been said that individuals are much to complex to be pigeon-holed.  Gotta, admit I agree.

MrTarzan, Al Franken is from here but I don't believe he claims us.  The Tribune ran a story within the last year about it but I couldn't find it on the site. I think his family owned a factory that made quilted liners for jackets. My father used to work there in the early 60's but has no recollection of Al Franken. Franken says he moved to "St. Jewish Park" when he was like 12. (I've never heard St. Louis Park called that ??? )

As far as why we don't get him to come here it's probably because he gets $25,000 per speaking engagement and we don't have that kind of money to throw around unless it's for a study.

Jim, again you partisan glasses have left you in the position of being laughed at, not the liberals. In your last post you mentioned all the things that liberals have done in the past, and thats why conservatives have had a good ole laughing party.
Only one thing wrong with your post. Its full of partisan bull$hit again. Sometimes I have to recheck the name on your post, I think Shawn Hannity might have stopped by to post.
You cant even see that the things you accuse the liberals of doing, the conservatives do also, you just refuse to see it. Or, you do see it, but you think its all ok when the people you support do it.
Sorry, there was way more than one thing wrong with your post, I only pointed out the biggest, your partisan blindness.

Franken isnt funny now? But Rush and O'Reilly are? Whats wrong Jimmy, cant handle your beloved conservatives being run through the mud everyday like the liberals have been for years.
Look, in my opinion, they all serve a purpose. But they all are only willing to point out the bad in the other party. They hate bad government, but only if it comes from the other party. Jim is the same way, wants to point out everything bad the liberals have done, but in his opinion, the conservatives can do no wrong. If you truely want good government, you have to first be willing to admit that both parties are to blame. If not, talking politics with people like that is a waste of time. Just like the time I wasted here talking to Jim. His next post will be nothing but examples of all the evil the liberals have done. That or a two page history lesson that nobody gives a $hit about, but hey, it distracts him admitting that hes full of $hit when it comes to politics. Just admit it Jim, dont be like O'Rielly and try to say you are fair and balanced, no one here believes it anyway. Just admit you are a flaming conservative and your party is better, because hey, your'e Jim!  :D

Just because a view point is conservtive does not make it wrong...actually there is no need to be positive about liberals they ARE wrong.

Quote, from Hoosier--"Jim, again you partisan glasses have left you in the position of being laughed at, not the liberals. In your last post you mentioned all the things that liberals have done in the past, and thats why conservatives have had a good ole laughing party.Guilty as charged--Conservatives have been laughing at liberals for years--and that is what infuriates them--as proved by your post.
Only one thing wrong with your post. Its full of partisan bull$hit again. I posted SPECIFICS on liberal laughing points, like Midnight Basketball.  Where are YOUR specifics?  No, you prefer to use a broad brush--something like "Conservatives are big fat.........."--a takeoff on Franken's ACTUAL BOOK TITLE--and reminiscent of schoolyard taunts.Sometimes I have to recheck the name on your post, I think Shawn Hannity might have stopped by to post.
You cant even see that the things you accuse the liberals of doing, the conservatives do also, you just refuse to see it. I posted some of the things I have a problem supporting in the Republican Party--SEE BELOW
Quote
Republican drivel--Nah, Bush is too much like a Democrat--big spending, "me too" prescription drugs, offering amnesty to illegals, big government, instituted Homeland Security and the TSA.  Unfortunately, there is too little chance for a meaningful third-party challenge.  Too bad there are no Libertarian commercials--then we could TRIANGULATE this discussion.[/color]
Or, you do see it, but you think its all ok when the people you support do it.
Sorry, there was way more than one thing wrong with your post, I only pointed out the biggest, your partisan blindness. And THIS is an example of non-partisan writing style?

Franken isnt funny now? TRUEBut Rush and O'Reilly are? Find me a post where I called them funny--I said they poked fun at liberalsWhats wrong Jimmy, cant handle your beloved conservatives being run through the mud everyday like the liberals have been for years. No, I don't mind a bit, because unlike the conservative talk shows with millions of listeners, there has never been a successful national liberal talk show--unless you count CNN :D (sarcasm) :D
Look, in my opinion, they all serve a purpose. But they all are only willing to point out the bad in the other party. They hate bad government, but only if it comes from the other party.I have NEVER seen an ad by EITHER the Republicans or Democrats extolling the virtues of the other party--that is insane. Jim is the same way, wants to point out everything bad the liberals have done, but in his opinion, the conservatives can do no wrong. I have given examples where Republicans have "done wrong"--please give me an example of where I said they couldn't :pIf you truely want good government, you have to first be willing to admit that both parties are to blame. No, you just have to take a stand, the "they're all to blame crowd" that doesn't take a stand stands for nothing.  I can talk politics with Liberal (with a big L) because he takes a stand and presents his facts--something you have been unwilling or unable to do.  Just WHERE IS YOUR MEA CULPA, Hoosier--telling everyone how bad the LIBERALS are?If not, talking politics with people like that is a waste of time. Just like the time I wasted here talking to Jim. His next post will be nothing but examples That's TRUE--I always try to give EXAMPLES, not broad-brush rhetoric--I've challenged you many times to give examples--none forthcomingof all the evil the liberals have done. That or a two page history lesson that nobody gives a $hit about if you just want to voice political polemics, party line, or simply "I hate Bush and anyone that might ever support him"--you can do that in only a few linesbut hey, it distracts him admitting that hes full of $hit when it comes to politics. Just admit it Jim, dont be like O'Rielly that's O'Reilly--know your adversary.and try to say you are fair and balanced, no one here believes it anyway. Just admit you are a flaming conservative and your party is better,Well, I would, if I HAD a party, but I've already said that I don't donate to Republicans because they are too much like Democrats because hey, your'e Jim!And as Chevy Chase, one of the OTHER Saturday Night Live alumnus used to say "and you're not!
