Gabe and the four idiots hate Dan because he wants to do things by the book. Does anyone here have a problem with the county board following the letter of the law? Have a problem with them conducting meeting by the letter of the law?
Thats all Dan wants, but the four idiots dont take their job as commissioner nearly as seriously as Dan does his. They seem to think they are still on some church committee, or some small town school board where they wouldnt really have to follow the rules to the letter.
Gabe has been overheard himself talking about some of the people that attend meetings now and how they watch everything the board does, and that the board has to do everything by the book or these people will raise hell. I say good for these people. But I think its a very sad day for small town politics when the people have to get this involved just to make sure our elected officials are following the law.
And for all you Gabe supported and the four idiots, have you ever asked youselves what all the secrecy is about? Why do they have illegal meetings just so people wont know what is going on?
And to the idiot county person that told Mamma she was slandering Miller. Just try to have someone bring a suit against someone in here for expressing their opinion, or what they believe to be true. Look at the law. Lets say it isnt true what Mamma said, she would have to know that its not true when she said it. If she truely believes what she said she has not slandered anyone. There has not been in all the time, and all the posts on this forum or the last, anything said that could be considered libal or slander, not one. Also, after I hear it here, I can repeat it as much as I like, all I have to say is that in my opinion it is true.
Here, I will make it easy for you, all the commissioners except Belshan are crooks. Let them sue away, it will be a waste of their money. Perhaps you should know a little more about the law before you attack Mamma. Unless, this is our little county attorney Craig Nelson, then we would forgive you, we all know you dont know the law.
If you live in a district where one of the idiots are going to be running for reelection, vote for anyone but them. Hell a chimp could do the job, Dan Springborg has proved that. All you have to do is train them like they did Springborg. Ok Dan, when anyone but Belshan makes a motion, you raise your hand and say SECOND!
One last rant. I wish the other commissoners would realize that they arent hurting Dan Belshan. They are denying the people that elected Dan their right to be equally represented on the county board. When they try to silence Dan, or have an illegal meeting, they are silenceing the people of Dans district, not Dan. I feel bad for the people that Dan represents, the other four commisioners need to understand that the basically have locked thousands of people out of the process. Is there anyone here that attends a meeting that believes Dans people are represented the same as the others?
Some people here have documented way over three illegal meetings, that alone is enough to kick them out of office. Is it any wonder Dan was the only smart one that didnt want to be involved in an illegal meeting?

Attorney General, now ther is a waste of a person in MN government. The AG is currently under investigation (I think it is still going on) so I highly doubt if he will move on much of anything until the spotlight is off of him, I think we're pretty much alone on this one.

Nice post hoosier, it would be impossible to disagree with you on anything you said if you follow county government at all. We'll hopefully get rid of threee of them this fall.

Thanks guys. Anyone want to start a fund so we could go to court and get these idiots out of office. I attended two illegal meetings myself, the Mullenbach speakerphone meeting, and the Lake meeting out at the ice arena.
And if they didnt know it was illegal, why not? What the hell is our county attorney for? I dont think on the other hand though that they have any idea what the penalty is for illegal meetings, if they do, they dont think anyone will push it. 300 dollar fine per meeting, violate three open meeting laws and the commissioners that took part in the meeting can be removed from office.
I might ad, Dan Belshan has only been involved in one of these meeting to my knowledge, and that was Mullenbachs meeting. He left the Lake meeting as soon as he seen that all the other commissioners were there, making it illegal. You see, this meeting was by invite only, no public notice, hell the public wasnt invited. Gabe shows up late and stands in the back of the room. That is until a commissioner starts to talk, Gabe sees me, goes to the front of the room and tells the crowd that they cant ask commissioners questions because this could be considered an illegal meeting since it was not open to the public.
The thing idiot Gabe didnt realize is that it was to late, just by being there and hearing information on a subject that might come before the board at a latter time they violated the law, and our rights. And this did in fact come before the board.
When they hold an illegal meeting they violate all our rights. Springborg just showed his stupidity when he said Dan was grandstanding for not attending an illegal meeting. If this was taken to court, Dan would be the only commissioner to keep his job.
One last thing, when we first brought up the subject of illegal meetings, we new the law better than they did. Nelson was reading the law as it was in 98 or 99, but it was changed in 2001, and included a ban on speakerphones, except for one state agency. All others, if a commissioner is not present at the meeting location, you have to use interactive TV. We have to see him, he has to see the other board members.
Roger Bock even new the law, as soon as this meeting got underway, Roger spoke up and told them the we have to be able to see him vote. So the guy the county board tries to ridacule so much knew more about the law than our county attorney. Doesnt say much for Nelson does it. I might add that this is also the meeting that they gave Nelson a 14 percent raise instead of the 6 percent the judge suggested. Dan Belshan voted against this raise. Could it be that the other four idiots were buying favor with the county attorney using our tax money? Nothing in county politics would surprise me anymore after seeing this board in action.

Hoosier, don't forget about the violation back in October, (I think it was the 7th) I have it documented when they went into closed session and didn't record. Both Belshan and Springborg told me they didn't tape it.

You are right Maddog. Even the paper admitted that they held a recent meeting in violation of the law. They seem to not understand that the law is there to protect the people that pay their salarie, the people that elect them to represent them. And they do their best it seems to keep things from the public, who they work for. Doesnt make any sence does it?
