7.7 billion surplus, this isn’t a little excess, this is crippling tax policy. I was listening the other day and if tax payers (yes, the ones that actually pay taxes) were cut a refund check it would be in the neighborhood of $1800 a piece.

Yeah with the prerequisite 2022 gouge just because, why not, we have a lot of options for excuses.
And what are you gonna do about it anyway?
So with that in mind the $500. . . should be what?
$700-750?
But maybe it was formulated at a lower rate to not add to inflation as much
