Commissioner Dan Springborg announced he intends to run for the seat again.
He's quoted in the Tribune as saying.

So...he wants to run again for social reasons. For his social life. So he and his gubment gal can hobnob with the public elite.
Because, it's certainly not to represent his constituents.

LOL, Springborg says in the Tribune that he has a lot more to give. Sorry stupid, we cant afford any more of your generosity, our grandchildren will be paying for your generous 40 millinion gift the way it is.
This guy is truely an idiot, he wants to control the spending? Thats all this board has done is spend money. Again, I ask the people that go to meetings all the time. Have you once seen Springborg turn down, or even question a spending request? This whole board does its best to redicule Dan Belshan every time he questions spending. Then Springborg has the balls to tell the paper he is worried about spending?
Springborgs biggest problem is he thinks the people of Freeborn County are as stupid as he is. People in his district, show him you are not, vote his ass out of office, along with any other commissioner running for relection.

If no one runs against him, just write someone in. In all honesty, I think its an embarassment that he even got elected in the first place. What the hell were people thinking? Do you think its not that big of a job? He wont effect us? Take a drive uptown, we need more than a shaved chimp sitting on the board.
O, sorry, forgot, Springborg lied to all of you that voted for him, didnt he?
LOL, just thinking of the chimp, wouldnt it be great to dress a chimp up, put him on the ballot, and see him beat Springborg by a landslide?

It's hard when there aren't any good canidates to choose from. Then basically you throw your vote away.
My husband says I should run.  I said I'd never win cause i'm not a good enough liar and my conscience is to big.

I'd have to search the minutes to be sure, but, I think you're right Hoosier. I don't think he has ever questioned any spending from the hired help. Any time the hired help asks for something this guy acts like it's his job to personally make sure they get it. A perfect example is last Jan. when he voted with Behrends and Mullenbach to give Sue Miller and Ron Gabrielsen permission to attend any convention they wanted to and they don't even have to let the board know about it.
I could be wrong, maybe a Springborg supporter can point to a time where he's actually considered what his constituents wanted or tried to save a tax dollar.
Remember this is the guy that said "Are we going to let just anyone come up here and complain about an employee by name?".
