What's so hard about grooming your own dog...that's what hominids do to canines.

I'm glad most of you are happy with Gale's, I would suggest you go somewhere else though.  We took a cat to her, and when we picked it up it was bleeding to death from a cut, it had to be taken to the vet to get stitches.  It cost over a $100 in vet bills, all they said at Gayles was that the next grooming was free!  Needless to say, our business was not taken their anymore.

Theirs a lady in Rochester I know of that does it, she charges $30 (but the first visits half price).  She spends a lot of time, and does a really good job.  She isn't booked very far ahead either.

Can't you how it's done people. Here you all are complaining that some factory isn't coming to pay people peanut wages, while at the smae time the local dog washer and trimmer can't keep up with work! At $30 an hour plus!

Hell, I'd start washing dogs if I didn't already make enough scratch.

$30.00 per hour .. I don't think so. It takes more then an hour to wash, clip, and groom your dog. Some longer and some less depending on the breed. My guess would be they are making more like $15.00 per hour and that's before taxes, supplies, payroll and insurance bringing their wages down to 9 or ten per hour. This is NOT a decent living but it will pay the bills and that's if they get 40 hours a week in.

It always amazes me how people think paying a groomer $30.00 for their dog is clear profit! Anyone that's been in business knows better.

That's totally incorrect....your numbers that is. I'm in business and I know people in that business. $30 dollars an hour easy

I could go through it all in great detail and you would see what I mean....but again...I don't get paid to educate you.

So you'll just have to figure it out on your own I guess. But you won't...you'll stay "Albert Lea ignorant"....I'm sure as chit not going to waste any of my time!

I spent $9000 on bicycles this month. I was able to find my bike I loved as a little shaver. A Huffy "Rail" stingray type
muscle bike in mint condition. It was found in the basement of a closed bike shop in New York City and I feel very fortunate to pick it up for $1500 plus shipping! It's awesome!!

I'm starting a musclebike museum feature Huffy "Rails" and "Slingshots". They blew the Schwinn crate series away!

Not only am I going to have fun...I'm going to own the market in Rails! Life is good...

When did this discussion turn to your stupid bikes?  I think it is ridiculous to spend $9000 for bicycles.

People also think hairdressers make $75 when you go into get your hair colored.  Not true!!!  They've got supplies to buy, rent to pay insurance to buy etc etc.  Same with any business there are expenses.  Maybe not in your "big pimpin" business minnow!!??

Ya..I know muscle bikes are a guy thing..sorry ladies if you feel left out.

Those stupid bikes will buy a me Porsche one day. I've found my nitch and will be among only a handful of collectors  preserving history.

You'll see...while you're crying about chit jobs I'm having fun and making money collecting and restoring.
