Does anyone know of a really good dog groomer in town? I have a little Cairn Terrier named Ozzy He's my buddy .. and I don't dare leave him with strangers holding scissors without checking them out first.
I don't want one that is known because of advertising, I want one that people have used, one that really likes dogs and will take care of him while he's there. In the past I have clipped him myself, but if I could find someone really good I would rather have it done out of my house.
Anyone know such a person?

Spidey - we've used Gayle's Grooming for several years. She's pretty knowledgable, and loves animals. It takes some time to get an appointment there, so call early.

Maybe you could ask your vet. I know some vet offices do grooming, but if not they might know of someone good.

We had good luck with Gayle's for our Pomeranian--and they're high-strung and "nippy". She handled him well.

Thanks everyone ... I stopped at Gayle's and she's booked until December. I will keep her in mind though.
Ozzy isn't a hyper or high strung dog by an means, he's just so sweet and such a good boy ... I need to make sure he has the best of care. This is a dog that has a toy box filled with approx. 30 some odd toys ... and he knows them all by name

My lab is the richest dog in town, but she don't care about dat.
She just wants to spend quality time with her master and some spendy big bones to knarl on.
Look, people complain about no jobs, when the dog washer/groomer is booked for months on end.
Learn a skill and make over $30 dollars an hour washing pets. It's a no-brainer. I swear, this is America, money is everywhere if you just know how to get it.

I have always taken mine to Linda Bryan on Richway. She does a GREAT job and schedules your next appointment by how long your dogs fur is, breed or whatever you prefer. Last week she did a large dog for me and is the ONLY groomer in town to groom large dogs as well as small ones.

This topic is obviously old but I also have a Cairn Terrier and have nothing but 100% satisfied with Gayle's. She's worth the wait!
