Run your debit card as a credit card. (Just kidding.)
Just another scam for the big banks to keep robbing their customers for the privilege of using their own money. All the more reason to dump them for smaller local banks and credit unions.
BOA, Chase, and Wells Fargo - your days are numbered.

BOA, Chase, and Wells Fargo - your days are numbered. You think the big banks are trying to make back of the losses they incurred in the houses debacle? Or will all the extra income be given to some of the management?... ...ned I think more and more people will start dumping them. We dumped Wells Fargo years ago when they started pulling crap and changing the terms of service (such as the amount required in your account for it to remain "free" - the multiplied the amount FIVEFOLD), and have never looked back.
Of course - they'll probably just get another taxpayer-funded bailout and continue to screw over their remaining customers.

All of the banks need more money, that's why. Those poor guys are almost starving! I'm thinking about setting up a donation fund for them.

I especially like this one. Lobbyists are the best! http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2011/09/30/332769/banks-lobbied-tarp/

I have more if anyone wants them. Please, if you don't want to help fix the government, please help me feed these hungry bankers. Without our help they will be in the streets.

They are increasingly losing insufficient funds fines because of technology. A lot of money there when you add it up on a large scale.
Going to have to make up the losses somehow.
I suppose we could always change to a "barter system" society and eliminate banks altogether.
