Well look what surfaced!  You must be back in shcool with your buddy Hymiebravo--you two usually post together.  Did you two get an apartment overlooking Loring Park?

More of those factual statements.

Intimating that I'm gay, name calling, faux bullying, etc.

Do you do this often, make false claims involving me. I have to admit I don't read most of what you post. Unless it's something like a vacation review or something.

About one of the only times I can think of where the 3 of us posted on the same thread. Was on a gay marrige thread. And you were actually agreeing with me about civil unions.

I didn't see anything about you being called gay...

A little paranoid?  It's ok...we're in the 21st century...nobody cares anymore...

Senate Finance Chairman Baucus Releases Detailed Health Care Reform Plan

Issue: Health Care Reform

Date: November 12, 2008

Action Taken: Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D – MT) today released details of his wide-reaching and sweeping plan to reform the U.S. health care system.  In his white paper—entitled “Call to Action: Health Care Reform 2009” Baucus outlines the steps he sees necessary to provide insurance for all Americans, improve the quality of care being provided to health care consumers, and reduce costs associated with the current health care system.

The Baucus plan includes an individual mandate that everyone buy health insurance, which would “be enforced possibly through the U.S. tax system or some other point of contact between individuals and the government,” according to “Call to Action Health Care Reform 2009.”

An employer play or pay scheme exists for large employers. If these employers choose not to provide coverage, under the Baucus plan they would have to contribute to a fund that would help cover those who remained uninsured.

Under the plan, “all except the smallest employers” are required to offer a Section 125 plan to allow employees to pay their health insurance premiums through payroll deduction and with pre-tax dollars.

The proposal would also establish a nationwide insurance pool known as the Health Insurance Exchange. Refundable tax credits would be available to individual and families who purchase coverage through the exchange and who have incomes at or below four times the federal poverty level.

The proposal also calls for immediate coverage for those ages 55-64 through a Medicare buy-in; Medicaid coverage to every American living below the poverty line; SCHIP coverage for all children at or below 250 percent of the Federal poverty level; and additional funding to the Indian Health Service (IHS) to provide adequate care for Native Americans and Alaska Natives.

Additionally, the Baucus plan would provide all uninsured Americans with a “RightChoices” card that would grant accesses to preventative care treatments.

The proposal also contains provision to improve health care quality and health information technology as well as provisions aimed at identifying and decreasing excess spending including reformation of medical malpractice laws to reduce administrative costs.

Finally, the Baucus plan would call for a shift away from long-term care services and a shift towards home and community-based services.

Health care should only be for people who can afford it.

Agreed - insurance is for the healthy, wealthy, and... the employed.

My kids are still too young to work. Damn freeloaders!
