I went the local Wally World today and as I passed through the doors each time (in going and out going) Why was I slammed with the question do I want to give money? When I said no not today, I was told its for the schools and to help the kids??? OK fine, help the kids and schools if you want but to ask for money right after passing the REF and just after Christmas, come on who are these people and dont they get tired of begging??? Dont get me wrong dont have any issues helping out a good cause but enough is enough already!!!

I was there also [although I hate to admit it] I think he was getting donations for the church school. Poor guy standing out in the cold, I doubt if many stopped to talk top him, just too cold. Dumb Norwegians living up here.

I thought the big box stores were banning beggers and buckets?
It seemed they banned them several years back. Did they change policy again? I don't like it. I shop at Wally's to save money, not give it away so some clown so people like our ex mayor can have their way with it.
Another thing. In the early 80's after the Chevy Chase movie came out my friend and I started calling Walmart Wally World. No one else was doing this. We'd never heard it before we came up with it. Now over 20 years later a search indicates this originated in the Midwest. Just think, if I didn't exist even the thread starters post would've been different. It's funny how one person can change the world.

This is sorta on topic, but not with the schools..
Does the salvation army still have the slogain "need has no season?" I've always been a little miffed hearing that slogan, only to find that the "need has no season" season actually starts at thanksgiving and ends at christmas... where are all the little red buckets around memorial day? laborday? 4th of july? is that out of season?
be well!

What bothers people more... the fact others disagree w/them, or that the others just might be right after all?
