My son and I both have a paintball gun, we borrowed a friends and took my 20 year old daughter, she now wants one for her birthday, lol. Love watching the tournament games they show on TV. That is a little to fast for 42 year old fat boy with two bad knees, lol. We send one team out in the woods, wait 10 minutes, then go hunt em. When you get hit, you aint out of it, you can play until you cant take it any longer. You basically play until the other team gives up. One twist, you get a guy to give up, he can join your team now against his old team.
Nice to see you posting here p8ntball_junky.

p8ntball_junky, we were wearing the goggles while we were playing. Back then, they didn't have the nice face shields that they have today and I am willing to guess that the guns (markers) of today probably could shoot a lot further and harder versus the ones that I used to have.
One thing on the chopping problem, where I was seeing the problem was when the chamber would open on my semi gun (trigger based cam system), the chamber would close before the paintball would actually chamber itself and it would split open and get everywhere. Is that the same issue you were referring to?
30 bps? OUCH! I couldn't even imagine getting hit with even half of that number per second. I was doing some looking last night online and it seems that the sport has come a long way in both the arsenal end as well as the protection end. They never had chest protectors when I first started.
Never tried an obstacle type course either, we did it kind of like how hoosier explained, except we did it for a weekend straight. If you got hit, you had to go back to base for 'x' amount of time (depending where you got hit, i.e a leg shot didn't make you sit out as long as a head shot) and then go right back to it again.
Some guys were all out for it, using trioctane (sp?) fuel to heat meals out in the woods, hiding up in trees waiting for someone to come by to ambush. Damn those were the days!

Haven't played for a year now.

Really? cool, we use to go up to Zelinski Memorial Paintball Park alot, hell we probably shot each other up and didn't even know it..

Scenarios are a blast, so are urban setting battles, specially when you get invited to duke it out against SWAT teams..  Man those guys are good

Never really cared for the speedball tourneys, just too much spray and pray, also got lit up at 5 feet by a guy who flanked my left six, and just let it ripp, when one shot would have been sufficient.  But NO the prick unloaded on me, had welts for a few weeks, chrono'd at 425fps.

You run a remote setup or straight bottle?  I prefer the remote setup my-self.
