Guest, I'm not going to defend drunk drivers but getting an OWI does not make a person a loser. Anybody could get one. It doesn't mean their alcoholics or that they drink and drive all the time. It just takes one time of thinking your fine to drive to get one. And I do agree with cpu slave, someone can blow a .10 and be told they're legal drunk but not be as "under the influence" as another. People's bodies handle alcohol in different ways.

To kid-dim-wit. There is no way your friend blew a 1.1, that would mean he has more alcohol in his veins than their could be blood. He may have blew a 0.11.
To Angle. The first time this came up the individual who brought it up was talking about a “friend” who just got his second and other posters saw nothing wrong with that. I can kind of see one but you do it more than once you are an idiot for not learning your lesson.
Those of you who see no problem with driving while drunk should be ashamed of your selves. I hope nothing bad happens to anyone but maybe you need to have someone close to you be hit by one of these drunk losers who most of the time don’t have insurance.

I wish that all of us would stop and think for a minute about how many people we have known that have either been in or passed away in a drunk driving accident. Then remember how it affected their familys. Is it really worth it?

I think they should pass the .08 law AND include in that law the banning of hand held cell phones (at a minimum) while driving anything. It has been proven that cell phone users are as impaired as someone that blows .10. Makes you want to jump right on and ride those motorcycles, huh guys?
Just watch people in their cars on their phones when you get a chance---it's scary.

I have served many a drink, to many the have had a little to much, but a true drunk will give up the keys to his car for another drink.
