I had to run over to Waseca this morning to deposit a check and for whaterver stupid reason I thought of this thread so I did some counting on the city streets I drove regarding the lawn signs. Trump: 14 Hillary: 4 Historically MN has been a D stronghold though and I don't expect that to change this year.
I will be heading to Wausau later today and will try and do the same just for S and G's. I know from all the time I spend in WI that during the Walker election and recall vote that the Walker signs outnumbered everyone else by at least a 3:1 margin outside of the Milwaukee/Madison areas. I haven't been in the Madison/Milwaukee area much this summer, been mostly lacrosse and the Superior area. I will do some non scientific counting of the lawn signs and report back as I know you are all dying to know

I don't base much on signs, it's more of an indicator of how much your local party is spending on signs than anything else. If your county Republican or Democratic party doesn't have a few of them on hand, local people won't either. The state parties are focusing their energy on legislatures races of swing districts. And the national parties are busy focusing on swing states.

That's a decent amount of time in the car. Nice scenery along the river though. I drove through the La Crosse area a couple times this past year, it's nice to see a change from the plains we see around here.
