That's progress. At least someone willing to state their opinion, not long online feeds, copy/paste Fundamentalism, and one-liner jabs like "the others aka Obamanites= idiots". What did you expect!
Sure, there's sides to almost any narrative. The narrrative you present of this country's history is one side. I see both sides, balance them, and make a reasonable judgement. The narrative you present is filled with "hard work", justice for all, and mono-theism. There are other historical narratives, ones containing legalized slavery, land theft, gender/ religious/ racial descrimination, child labor, religious diversity, cultural diversity. You and others may prefer an idealic well managed WASP society. But in truth the US was never that. Only fantasy and poorly taught History. When real society presents itself---religious diversity, alternate narratives, a black president---Fundamentalists cry foul. Their bubble of reality popped.
It's not that I blindly accept every facet of American culture. Quite the contrary. But I recognize its existence, unlike Fundamentalists of all stripes. You appear to contradict yourself, saying " NO up without down or left without right, black without white" but end up defending an Old Testament God with no patience with free thought.
Next time open a discussion beyond bigoted slurs. Maybe others will respond in kind.

It's not my word against another. Pages filled with obscene memes and language with authorship is proof.
If some see the need to relieve themselves in the sandbox they have a problem. There are doctors in St. Peter who may help.

Sorry Stardust 14,
But our history is important to us all. I have studied the history of the United States both the good and the bad. I've seen how in the past we whitwashed it to only show the good. Watch some historical movies from the 30's, 40's, and even into the fifties and you see a lot of it. My concern is that today we have gone to the other extreme, that everything and everybody in our history is evil and bad. I mean there are people out there that call Abraham Lincoln a racist! I'm worried that somewhere down the line someone will stand up and say "Since all the so-called founding fathers were evil then that constitution they wrote is evil too, lets get rid of it!" Then where will we be (certainlly not here since our first admendmant rights would no longer exist). I would prefer that our history be taught completely and truthfully without any whitewash or political correctness.

I'm not a Trump supporter but which civil rights does he want to violate? And are you talking about Muslims in general or just the ones that are Americans?
I ask because I haven't seen anything on that.
The only thing I heard remotely close to that and which can be misinterpreted as such is his want to vet Muslim refugees before we give them safe harbor and since we can't properly identify these individuals, he wants to put a hold on allowing entry until we have a program in place to do it properly.
Sounds reasonable to me.
