“This President wanted to fundamentally transform America and he’s been doing it. Unfortunately, he’s been doing it by looking the other way at the border,” Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) says.
During an exclusive interview with Breitbart Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon on Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Daily radio program, Gohmert was asked about recent reports of Syrians, Pakistanis and an Afghan being apprehended while trying to enter the country via our southern border. Gohmert said he was glad that “people are waking up across the country to what’s been going on for quite some time.”
While Gohmert said there were problems going back to the Bush administration, he claimed the Bush administration cooperated with concerned members of Congress and “by the time he left office, we made a lot of progress in securing the border. But as soon as President Obama took the oath … those days were over and it was back to being wide open, almost.”
“It’s just insane,” he added.
Gohmert also pointed out that with the FBI Director consistently says there’s no guaranteed way to know who any incoming Syrian refugees “really” are, so it’s imperative to defund the Syrian refugee program completely. While Gohmert sounded somewhat optimistic, he made it clear, it’s still going to come down to slid leadership from top House Republicans like Speaker Ryan and Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).

If, by that, you mean the acceptance of Communism or Socialism, the killings of Christians, the defamation of the American Constitution, the acceptance of killing unborn babies and selling their baby parts you are correct. If you mean, the acceptance of politically correct corruption, racism (yes, it goes both ways~~~~~~you see there IS NO up without down or left without right, black without white. ) And, in the end, there's no pressure to explain anything. That's progress. At least someone willing to state their opinion, not long online feeds, copy/paste Fundamentalism, and one-liner jabs like "the others aka Obamanites= idiots". What did you expect!Sure, there's sides to almost any narrative. The narrrative you present of this country's history is one side. I see both sides, balance them, and make a reasonable judgement. The narrative you present is filled with "hard work", justice for all, and mono-theism. There are other historical narratives, ones containing legalized slavery, land theft, gender/ religious/ racial descrimination, child labor, religious diversity, cultural diversity. You and others may prefer an idealic well managed WASP society. But in truth the US was never that. Only fantasy and poorly taught History. When real society presents itself---religious diversity, alternate narratives, a black president---Fundamentalists cry foul. Their bubble of reality popped.
It's not that I blindly accept every facet of American culture. Quite the contrary. But I recognize its existence, unlike Fundamentalists of all stripes. You appear to contradict yourself, saying " NO up without down or left without right, black without white" but end up defending an Old Testament God with no patience with free thought.
Next time open a discussion beyond bigoted slurs. Maybe others will respond in kind.

Sorry Stardust 14, But our history is important to us all. I have studied the history of the United States both the good and the bad. I've seen how in the past we whitwashed it to only show the good. Watch some historical movies from the 30's, 40's, and even into the fifties and you see a lot of it. My concern is that today we have gone to the other extreme, that everything and everybody in our history is evil and bad. I mean there are people out there that call Abraham Lincoln a racist! I'm worried that somewhere down the line someone will stand up and say "Since all the so-called founding fathers were evil then that constitution they wrote is evil too, lets get rid of it!" Then where will we be (certainlly not here since our first admendmant rights would no longer exist). I would prefer that our history be taught completely and truthfully without any whitewash or political correctness.

I agree. Written history should be free of politics. My bad if I didn't make that clear. When one sided narratives are presented it seems only fair to open the discussion.
No one is served when "historians" scan through historical documents in search of "gotcha" info. Attempting to interpret historical individuals' intentions is folly. The Founding Fathers and colonists were not saints or politically neutral, making the Constitution all the more amazing. Imagine writing a constitution nowdays, considering the social climate. American history is not just the story of citizens either adhering to our laws or not. A whole lot of interpretation creates problems...and hopeful possibilities.

I'm not a Trump supporter but which civil rights does he want to violate? And are you talking about Muslims in general or just the ones that are Americans?I ask because I haven't seen anything on that.
The only thing I heard remotely close to that and which can be misinterpreted as such is his want to vet Muslim refugees before we give them safe harbor and since we can't properly identify these individuals, he wants to put a hold on allowing entry until we have a program in place to do it properly.
Sounds reasonable to me.

Yeah, not a fan of the whole eminent domain thing.He does have a reasonable argument when it comes to the fourteenth amendment. I recall that he was referring to anchor babies. If the parents came here illegally, are their kids automatically a citizen because they were born on US soil? Was this scenario really discussed at the time the amendment was created and approved?
We all know Obama doesn't give two pennies about the Constitution. He has been free to make his own interpretations for the past 7 years and act on them. Trump isn't even President, yet.
