Then welfare Benny's need to be tightened up so that if there is a job the receiver works, no work-no benefits.

Ah, but if it's a Republican POTUS you disregard the U-1, U-2, U-3, U-4, U-5, and even the U-6.

How about a reform plan that requires the welfare recipient to look for work and accept a job? There's a bipartisan effort for such a thing. If the President signs it, it would start as early as the year 1996.
It's a red herring, no matter how many restrictions or "tightening" they do, the Guy Drake fans will still blame the old "Welfare Cadillac".
