I'm not sure, but I think this bill requires the president to notify Congress before releasing terrorists.
QUOTE ‘‘ National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2014’’H. R. 3304—183 (d) NOTIFICATION.—The Secretary of Defense shall notify the appropriate committees of Congress of a determination of the Secretary under subsection (a) or (b) not later than 30 days before the transfer or release of the individual under such subsection. Each notification shall include, at a minimum, the following: (1) A detailed statement of the basis for the transfer or release. (2) An explanation of why the transfer or release is in the national security interests of the United States. (3) A description of any actions taken to mitigate the risks of reengagement by the individual to be transferred or released, including any actions taken to address factors relevant to a prior case of reengagement described in subsection ©(3). (4) A copy of any Periodic Review Board findings relating to the individual. (5) A description of the evaluation conducted pursuant to subsection ©, including a summary of the assessment required by paragraph (6) of such subsection.
Oh, that' right. They aren't terrorist. Are they classified as detainees?
QUOTE Republicans have reacted harshly to the Obama administration’s decision to swap five top former Taliban commanders for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who was the sole American prisoner of war in Afghanistan. When it comes to the legality of the decision to do so, they have a point. “The President also clearly violated laws which require him to notify Congress thirty days before any transfer of terrorists from Guantanamo Bay and to explain how the threat posed by such terrorists has been substantially mitigated,” House Armed Services Committee Chair Buck McKeon and his Senate counterpart, ranking member James Inhofe said in a statement shortly after Bergdahl’s release had been announced. “Our joy at Sergeant Berghdal’s release is tempered by the fact that President Obama chose to ignore the law, not to mention sound policy, to achieve it.” MSNBC
Another example of Bambino's NO-Accountability and ignorance of the law.

I sure hope we implanted them with tracking devices or something...

Why, you think Berdahl will sneak off again?

LOL. I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt (innocent until proven guilty) until a tribunal is formed to find out for sure the circumstances around his capture. I have my suspicions as well about his being captured, but I wasn't there. As for the 5 we let go, I hope we had explosive devices surgically implanted in them, remote detonation ability at the right time would be perfect ending.

^Sure, I guess it's all the same to you. That's like these idiots that blame the county for things the city does, or blaming the federal government for state laws.
But go ahead, SB. Send a letter to that HHS review board regarding a Medicare sex change and explain that they're to blame for the VA scandal in Arizona.

^^why, are you getting your parts trimmed??? This would not surprise me.
What I'm saying is that it seems that our whole system of gov. is broken. We've strayed too far from the oringinal intent.
Now go ahead and tell me that I don't understand and that what's going on is for our own good.
