When I was in town at the beginning of August it looks like they are putting in a few J-Turns there on East Main. My parents are less than pleased

When I was living in the Kato area they put a couple in by eagle lake, there's a couple in St. Peter now too. More on the way up 169 as well. Becoming way more common.

Thanks for the vid expat. In my experience, especially when coming into St. Peter from the Cities on my way to Kato, you get a ton of people that need to go North on 169 coming from the new Kwik Trip and/or McDonalds so they need to go south on 169 then do the U turn. It can be a little confusing when you come in cuz they pull out in front of you but get in the left lane right away. I have seen a handful off accidents where people have done that not knowing someone was in the left lane already passing a vehicle. Still better than a T - bone I guess. All in all I'm not opposed to them, they have there place. Kinda like traffic circles. Although I've grown to love them though.

@ GIL..I agree changing lanes for a turn causes it's own hazard on these reduced conflict intersections. I'm sure we'll experience a little road-rage until people get the hang of this new change.
Haven't seen the finished product of the reduced conflict intersections on East Main hopefully they can retain some space for bicyclists...
