In the story about Mitch Brua getting killed in a rollover, they stated the passenger in the car received minor injuries and was treated and released from ALMC. K, the "passenger" is a family friend, he's my mom's godson, and he didn't receive "minor" injuries. He was transferred via ambulance to St. Mary's! Way to go Tribune!

That was probably Brad. As of 8:00 last night my mom hadn't talked to his mom yet, his mom has had her cell phone off while she's in the hospital and Mom hasn't been able to get ahold of her. She just left a message that night that Brad was in an accident and was taken to Mayo.
Knowing Brad's favorite hobbies, I'm pretty sure there was alcohol involved. We think they were on their way to Julio's.

This accident happened less than 3 miles from me, Brua was thrown from vehicle as was Brad C., since it was so close and I could see the emergency vehicles and I might add more than one helicopter (Mayo was called and they were securing a landing spot for them when the passenger requested no helicopter, he was transported and Mayo called off) what baffled me was that a helicopter kept flying over my place and circling the scene then headed back to A. L at least 20 min. After Mayo was cancelled. Having witnessed more than one fatality out this way....I will say that this was a messy one. When not seatbelted in, people become projectile missiles. And my heart goes out to the parents of each of these individuals. I, too know them.

From what I heard, the parties involved were going to Julio's after being kicked out of a different bar. It is probably a safe bet that alcohol was involved. My prayers are with the families.

Just heard from my mom, they think Brad is going to be released tomorrow. He's in ICU now but they're transferring him to a regular room today, and it sounds like he'll be home tomorrow. He's bitching about wanting to go to work so you know he's doing okay Mom is there now, she can see that he has a head wound and a broken nose, but she wasn't sure what else was wrong, but he's raring to go home.

The message that the "passenger" was treated and released with only minor injuries was carried by most of the media. I've not been a big supporter of the AL Tribune, but don't tag them as being the only ones who had a problem with the facts on this story. Some wrong info got out early and all the media carried it.

kid dim-wit. So now you are against drunk driving? When it is your friend who gets nailed for the second time you think the law is too tough on him but now you think other wise? What a complete imbecile.
