Everybody sort of wrote him off the last go round/election too. But he managed to persevere/win/continue/stick around/get reelected.

Mark just needs to quit his crying about the vote and face the big picture its time for him to move on and the county needs a new leader (Bob Kindler) who will be fair and understand the needs of the people he has worked with for many years. Mark is all about himself and if Harig wasnt so bad how come there were 3 people running against him, if he was doing his job correctly there wouldnt have been one person that would have ran against him. Harig is what Freeborn county dosent need leading the people that protect us. Im voteing for Bob.

Just spoke to Bill V and I still think he'd make a great quarterback for the county security force...he's doin great work for the Y right now...great work!

Do not know Bill V., except he almost beat Harig for Sheriff. Have heard a lot of unsubstantiated rumors about him, but also have heard rumors about Superman and Lois Lane. Bill V. isn't running for Sheriff. Harig is running for reelection. He has braged he has 95 employees. He and the commisoners seem to be proud of the fact they are on Federal Welfare, and dependent on it to maintain the 95 employees. Look at the other substaniated items. When you have to look under your bed at night to see if there are cops or government workers under there before you go to bed, maybe we will think government is big enough.

Unfortunately, Bill V. was a victim of a well ran character smear campaign and an organizational weakness in the outer areas of the county. The latter could be fixed with a stronger election organization. Unfortunately, the former is a nasty fact of life in politics. Tell a lie long enough and the idiots who are too lazy to gather the facts believe it.
Get back on your meds Mark, and leave serious debate to the intelligent members of this forum. No one who is even remotely intelligent takes you seriously...
