Austin couple in custody on drug related charges

(KAAL) -- An Austin couple is in police custody tonight on drug related charges.
Ramon and Blanca Retieria were arrested after 46-grams of methamphetamine were allegedly discovered in their home.
A drug task force issued a search warrant at 1000 8th Avenue in northeast Austin Tuesday afternoon.
Officers also confiscated two vehicles and about $400 in cash.
Seven children in the home were taken into protective custody by Mower County Human Services.
You may recall the Retieria's daughter Candy died in an Austin trailer fire last December.
It's amaizing what these meth users and dealers will do to get their fix. I've seen parents give up their kids for meth ... it's a horrible drug and very tough to recover from.
I wonder what the fire department came up with for a cause for that trailer fire ... anyone know?

It is incredibly horrible.....in one of the rescent Freeborn County meth lab take downs I heard there was a 4-year-old in the very next room where they were making it, sleeping!!

A couple with 7 kids living in a mobile home. Perhaps welfare reform should include sterilizing parent(s) - at least the stupid ones.

Ignorant? Seems like common sense to me. Why keep paying them to have more kids? Good ol' U S of A - the only place I know where the poor people are fat (and especially true in MN)
Also, your language is starting to become unacceptable. Sometimes a bit humorous, but still - unacceptable.

How tragic about the girls death in the first place. Now, knowing about the parents meth use and 7 children, I am sickened. Where did the welfare screw up when they stopped sterilization? Sadly, here is just one case.
