No, I'm saying that those who are unable to take care of themselves should not have kids.  Seems simple enough - which part don't you understand?

Kid is a monster, perhapse even a psychopath, clinicaly speaking.  I submit the following as the begining of my thoughts, support and proof.

"...The problem of evil is ancient.  It might even be archetypal—so much a part of us that we'll never eradicate it.  Andrew Delbanco tells us in his book, The Death of Satan, that Americans have lost their sense of evil, and he discusses how we have become more tolerant of the many forms of evil in our midst.  It's increasingly visible, yet we have lost a vocabulary for talking about it, and our explanations for it have never been weaker.  The unending cases of hatred, brutality, and wanton callousness make it clear that there are people who intend great harm and we must be alert.  Forensic practitioners are attempting to devise a way to define it more clearly in court, so that legal consequences can be precisely determined..."

"...The most lethal threat to children is the father or mother who destroys them for self-serving purposes..."

All from Katherine Ramsland's Evil Parts I & II

The following are clinical criteria established in 1941 by psychologist Hervey Cleckley.  The criteria were used to assist in defining the psycopath.

  • hot-headed
  • manipulative
  • exploitative
  • irresponsible
  • self-centered
  • shallow
  • unable to bond
  • lacking in empathy or anxiety
  • likely to commit a wide variety of crimes
  • more violent, more likely to recidivate, and less likely to respond to treatment than other offenders

Then Robert Hare, a Canadian psychologist, expanded on Cleckley’s work and combined traits and behaviors for his Psychopathy Checklist, in Without Conscience.  Hare included 22  items to be used to assist in diagnosing potential psychopaths. Hare's work showed a shift in defining pychopathy as a disorder characterized by the traits from Cleckley's list and the addition of the following:

  • serial relationships (multiple marriages)
  • lying
  • glibness
  • low frustration tolerance
  • parasitic lifestyle
  • persistent violation of social norms

I believe a new thread is required to fully explore the hideous nature of the personality he/she presents here in this forum.

We may have a beast among us and I intend to find out.

If they're living in a trailer house with seven kids and two adults ... obviousely they don't have enough common sense to use birth controle. Can you imagine how cramped that would be .. eee-gad!  :p

If they are meth heads more then likely holding a job for either parent isn't easy if at all. Which means ... the children are supported by the tax payers.

How do you know they've never been taxpayers? Do you claim your kids as deductons on your taxes? Is that fair to single people that don't get that privilege? They help pay for your kids schooling as well with property tax, yet I don't see them complaining about tax money, do you?
Because you see...it's really not about money with you. It's about hate. It's about pitting the poor against the working poor.
Welfare reform was passed in 1996. Republicans don't even dare bring it up because it's a non issue...a done deal.

I know this isn't about taxes, but reading this reminded me of something I learned this year when we filed taxes.  We were discussing different tax brackets and child tax credit when an employee stated that people on welfare also get the child tax credit even if they aren't working and not paying taxes.  Just something I thought was interesting.  Sorry to go off the subject.

Newbie, not sure if that is true about people still receiving the child tax credit if they are not working.  I had a customer in last year when people were receiving their checks.  And she couldn't understand why hers hadn't come yet.  She was unemplyeed and she never did receive a check.  Like I said I don't which case is true.

I'm sorry i'll clarify, some people on welfare can work part-time.  I meant them and the ones not working.  It excludes people who aren't working and aren't on welfare.

Not everyone got a check mailed to them last year.  They got to claim the whole amount on their taxes.  The rest of us only got to claim the remainder left.
