Wow, no responses on this turd? No concern that Albert Lea is being driven into the ground by what would appear “piss poor leadership”?

Its shocking and really sad to see that in the 15+ years I've been gone that house prices have not gone up.

A.L. was a quaint town, with lots of nice amenities.  Sadly, there have always been too many naysayers and NIMBYs.

I remember at the time of the Farmland fire, many there thought all A.L. needed was a high tech computer firm to move to town with "all their high wage jobs" and that would solve the problem.  Never understood who these people thought would be qualified to work in that field.  Yes there were/are some there very capable but the belief was those who lost their jobs at Farmland would be able to step right into a high tech computer job.

Sure hope some good leaders come forth and develop a workable plan for the community.

^^ oh yes, Mpls/St Paul are turning into major shitholes, maybe something to do with leadership again (or lack of)

Where I live? The house across the street from me sold in three days, nice place but in need of remodel. It went for way ove twice what I paid for mine ten years ago

I’m pretty happy :D
