After reading this write in about a billfold found and returned to the owner Here is the full story... I was feeling good about our community, young people, and also about the one that took the time to write this article recognizing this young mans good deed.
I then read the next comment: QUOTE Hey Cheryl, no mention of a small reward, even a token one would have been nice. If you havn't, I think a visit to the Hy-Vee would be appropriate.
I certainly hope this was not written by the one that returned the billfold ... all of the "feel goods" about the story would be gone.
No mention of a reward - doesn't mean there wasn't one.
Does "thank you" mean anything anymore without also handing over the green backs?
If I found a wallet, a reward wouldn't even be in my thoughts when returning it. I would feel good about returning it and saving the unfortunate person the hassle of re-newing all of his/her cc, driver lic, etc.
What does everyone else think about this? Would you expect a reward? If you didn't, would you feel cheated?

QUOTE The early response among Republicans to the announcement that Bristol Palin, the 17-year-old daughter of GOP VP hopeful Sarah Palin, is pregnant, has been calm and collected, although it has definitely raised concerns for rank-and-file Republicans that more unpleasant revelations may soon follow.
Responding to Internet rumors that Bristol Palin had given birth earlier this year, and that Sarah Palin had claimed the child was her son Trig, the McCain campaign released a statement saying that Bristol Palin is currently pregnant and plans to marry the father.
Republicans have either taken the line that Bristol Palin's pregnancy is a personal matter for Palin and her family, or they are suggesting that it is a situation that lots of normal Americans can relate to, either from their own family history or that or friends and classmates.
"I don't think this is going to be a big deal down the stretch" of the 2008 election, said a top House Republican aide, speaking on the condition of anonymity.
"It's nobody's business but the Palins," added another Senate GOP leadership staffer.
