If you go under with your boat, be careful... there is something underneath that boats are hitting.  Contractor error, or the City's?

I think the city boys are hiding more scrap metal under the new bridge.  I think you better send Roger Bok on a diving expedition to  investigate.  Damn city trying to pull a fast one again!

I haven't had a boat on the lake in years but in reading ALcitizen post, I believe that I know the spot.  It is on the city side of the lake, and use to be in the center of the channel.  I would be hard to say were that is with the new bridge being wider than the culvert was.  One needs to keep the prop trimmed up or you will be buying a new one.

Would really like to take my boat under the bridge to check it out, unfortunately I have a blown head gasket at the moment.  As soon as it is fixed, I will report back.

Just opened this afternoon actually.  Took a trip across it myself.  Well done, and glad it is finally open.

They were removing the signs at about 2:00.  We drove around the lake!  Nice to have it open again.

One thing I've noticed is that the curb juts out a little further where Lake Shore Drive goes off to the right or taking the hill up to Shoreland Heights.  Multiple tire tracks over the curb - beware - your suspension will thank you.

Anyone have a picture of the culvert bridge that they could add to this thread.  Anyone know the story of why the old bridge was replaced with the culvert and when that took place.
