When I built a new server for albertlea.com last summer I had to use a generic case because I was pressed for time and that's all I had. Personally I don't like generic cases so I've been looking for a unique case since then. Two weeks ago I found the perfect case at the wholesaler www.evertek.com it was called the Demon case and it was about $50 shipped without a power supply.
When I got the thing last week I decided it was too different to hide in the basement with all it's lights, three lighted case fans with chrome covers, red painted interior and all the other chrome. So instead of putting the server in it I put my gaming computer in it.
The wife thinks it's tacky, I think it's cool because it's so tacky and other people just think it's just cool.
What do you think is it tacky or is it cool?

I'm gonna have to go with your wife on this one. It reminds me of the kids show the power rangers. 
I have to give props for artistic design though. It is definately not standard.

Pretty spiffy ... I think for a gaming machine is about the only way I'd use that case, though. That's just me. (But then, I'm a freak that insists on using Macs, so I'm more of a minimalist anyway.)
