Have you ever received your regular mail later than usual? Every time our mail man goes on vacation, we get someone else’s mail and ours is usually a few days late. We’ve received threats from the utility company, credit cards, etc. for not paying bills that we never received. Over the past couple years, its gotten so bad that the clinic reported us as bad credit. We didn’t receive bills for 2 months straight and now their collection agency is trying to garnish my check.   Granted, we should have called the clinic and asked what the cost was for that month, but we obviously didn’t think of it in time. I thought you were supposed to be able to trust the USPS. Chalk up another red mark against Albert Lea for anyone dumb enough to move to this town. We’ve learned the hard way, but now everything gets paid on-line. It's no wonder the USPS wants a cut every time somebody writes an E-mail. They can't do it right with paper. They might as well see what they can screw up in the virtual world. That’s beside the point. Again, I thought you were supposed to be able to trust them. Anybody else had problems like that?

Actually ... I've never had a problem with the USPS that I know of ... maybe I didn't get some of my mail, but how would I know unless it was a bill.

The hospital usually goes a very long time before doing anything about there A/R's. You must have missed more then one months worth of bills with them in order for them to take action of any kind.

The USPS is made up of people ... who are not perfect and can make mistakes. I think because their name is "United States Postal Service" everyone seems to think they are infallible, but they are human just like the rest of us.

As far as them making money on email ... I really don't know how that could ever happen. Anyone else hear anything lately on that subject? It's been several years since I heard that rumor.

100% false rumor.

The gov't charging for email is an urban legend perpetuated by garbage emails being circulated around the planet.

Even if you think the ALEDC is a good idea, do you really want to put Sparks and Bishop in charge of all the economic development in Albert Lea?

Oh yea...I don't pay a single bill by hand anymore. Every bill comes directly out of my account. I could leave for months on end all the bills would keep getting paid. It's great, I love it! I've been on auto pilot for years now and wouldn't have it any other way. God bless computers.
